LYSOSOME vs. WASTE-REMOVAL SYSTEM

SIMILARITIES

The function of a lysosome is to digest obsolete components in the cell which can be interpreted as the elimination of undesirable substances that are not useful to the cell anymore. This is similar to the waste removal objects as their function is to store objects that are unwanted and are to be removed from the airport, like the rubbish produced for example.

Also, without the waste removal objects like garbage cans and toilets in the Airport, a lot of unwanted items would start to pile up, causing the place to become unfavorable. This can also be true in the case of a cell as lysosomes are needed to break down and remove old worn out cell parts from the cell.

DIFFERENCES:

One difference between the lysosomes and the waste-removal system is that the uncontrolled release of lysosome contents into the cytoplasm can be lethal to the cell, while overflowing garbage bins and toilets, although unhygenic and unpleasant in both sight and smell are not a threat at all.

Also, lysosomes will burst into pieces when there is too much waste intake, but the garbage bins and toilets just get clogged up with waste and overflow, but don't explode.
